brigade attack

I would like to share my 2cent of conducting attack at brigade level. It is not from  the General mind , but I  can speak out some of its general out line:
1. Recon plan must be spelled out in detail; its composition, assets, location and movt timing.
2. Direct Fire Sp Besed (DFSBs ) are imminient priority. The bases should be more than one loc, and pre determined at every phase of attack( H and L Hr), comply strictly to DFSB principles and basic considerstions.
3. Bde attack built up of batalion attack and all to achieve common endstate, not conduct as an isolate battle. Attack is optimised when mutual sp are well coordinated.
4 . Be realistic on your plan, relate accurately doctrine and tactic to ground conditions.
5. Securing FUpLD, often 2nd phase is abandon and neglected, who should conduct it.
6. Safety distance upon arty covering  fire  must be  detail in time and space analysis to ensure tp safety.
7. Conunter Attack plan missed out in the overall plan. Cmdr need to tailor in detail its composition how rapid it can be executed.
8. Synchronization matrix not just detail on fire unit time schedule(air force ,mortar ,arty) but include authority of modification to ensure flexible fire plan.
9. Advice on arty comdr- determine your superimpose battery and request additional fire unit as require. Apply  right weightage of fire ( Fire for Effect).
10.Bn comdr often ignore arty support,  demand their right to get differnt type of arty fire(covering, harrasing, blinding, barrage, indication, smoke). Arty  comdr and CO must sit together and discuss.
11. Consider enemy RAG and DAG how they impose threat to the operation. What is arty counter battery plan to overcome this.
12. Plan has to be explained in detail and specific. Example where is exact loc for reorg and how it will be conducted. Where is every battalion exploitation line.
13. Never neglect the Reserve. I x  platoon of  mechanize not viable to conduct  counter attack. Think the weithtage and force scoring.
14. Order ought not to be simple. Order must confirm any ctitical issues.
